Biography
Mitchel Abaracoso Andrada was born August 17, 1985 in Roxas City, Capiz, Philippines. A former elected youth leader and a non-governmental volunteer. She started her career as QA Laboratory Analyst in manufacturing processing plant working full-time while doing her Post-Graduate study as Master’s in Biology at the University of the Philippines. She also worked as University Researcher in the Division of Biological Sciences and conducted research studies under the National Biotechnology and Molecular Biology funded by the Department of Science and Technology. After her postgraduate degree she rendered service at the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources as microbiologist and transferred to a private manufacturing and exporter company as a Quality and Certification Supervisor. She then worked as an Analyst and Statistician in the Philippine Fisheries and Development Authority doing post-harvest facility study through infrastructure projects while working as a safety-officer and in a construction company. She is also a Food Safety and HACCP consultant for some processing plants in the Philippines and writes food safety manuals. Currently, she is working as a Quality and Certification Manager in an aquaculture company based in Malaysia. She also conducts training and seminar on Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Hygienic Practices, Standard Sanitation Operating Practices and other housekeeping and sanitation procedures.
